Who we are.
Ron van Steenoven
Ron is the founder of RVSA and is its most senior engineer. He graduated honors with distinction from the University of Alberta in 1986 and has spent his career solving industrial control problems. He is a registered professional engineer with APEGA, APEGBC and APEGS. He also holds the title of Certified Functional Safety Expert (CFSE) the highest designation available through Exida. Ron has held numerous positions in the industrial environment from design engineer to construction engineer to commissioning engineer to site maintenance engineer. He has spent over half his life in the field and as a result has developed outstanding problem solving skills. Ron also holds integrity as the highest virtue which is reflected through the wide spread respect he has in the controls industry.
Jason is responsible for the day-to-day operations at RVSA including Project Management and Scheduling. He is also closely involved in the design and construction of our Steam Generator Control Systems. Jason has over 10 years of experience in the oil and gas industry often spending time in the field commissioning and maintaining steam generators for some of Canada’s top producers. He completed his Electrical Engineering Degree at the University of British Columbia, moving on to become a registered Professional Engineer with AGEGA, APEGBC and APEGS. He is a respected leader on the RVSA team and ensures our customers receive industry leading service.
Lead Hardware Designer
Jay is the Hardware Lead at RVSA and has been with the company since 2010. He graduated from the Northern Alberta Institute Technology Electrical Engineering Technology Program. He is an Applied Science Certified Technologist in British Columbia. Along with panel design, Jay has various responsibilities at RVSA including Panel Construction Management, Quality Control Testing, Project Cost Estimating and Boiler Control System Pre-commissioning. He is committed to providing an exceptional finished product to our customers supported by continued service of our running units.
Jordan is the Software Lead at RVSA. He plays a critical role taking on our most challenging IT and software responsibilities. Jordan graduated with a diploma in Electronic Engineering Technology from Okanagan College, becoming a certified member of ASTTBC as an Applied Science Technologist. In the field Jordan is able to provide expert support in all aspects of processor based tasks. He is a key member of RVSA, always willing to assist his colleagues and our clients.
